"I can't change the plastic industry on my own but together we can. It all starts with the Be-O bottle."

The Be-O bottle is the world’s first modular, reusable water bottle made from residual material from sugarcane. This way we give you the option to choose for renewable, biobased plastics instead of bottles made from oil plastics, which is a fossil material. In short: a uniquely designed water bottle which is also made from a sustainable material.

The Be-O Bottle is Practical

The Be-O bottle is easy to clean since it can be simply screwed apart. And if you want to store the bottle you can slide both parts in each other and this way you can save 40% in space. Handy, right?

Together we can change the plastic industry

The Be-O bottle will be sold in three different colours; white, blue and green. Each colour symbolizes one of the three non-profit organizations which we support. For each bottle sold during the Kickstarter campaign we will donate €1,- to one of these organizations, which also commit to change the plastic industry on their own way.

For each sold bottle we will donate €1,- to an organization which commits to a cleaner and more sustainable world. The colour of the bottle determines to which organisation we will donate.

Blue colour:       The Ocean Cleanup

White colour:    Plastic bank

Green colour:   Trees for the future

The Ocean Cleanup tackles the plastic pollution in the oceans by fishing the plastic waste from the oceans with their own system.

The Plastic Bank aims to counteract plastic waste by giving it value in developing countries. People that hand in plastic waste at collection points receive a fee. The plastic waste is then used to make other new products.

With Trees for the Future, we agreed that they plant 10 trees for every €1,- we donate to them. These trees take the CO2 from the air of oil plastics that get burned and convert this CO2 to oxygen. Thus, we all work together on a cleaner world and a CO2 neutral climate.

About Be-O

Be-O wants to accelerate the transition of oil plastics to natural renewable bioplastic. We do this by simply offering uniquely designed reusable products made from bioplastics that are 100% recyclable.

Did you know that roundabout 99% of the 311 million tonnes of plastics produced yearly is still made from fossil materials (oil)? We believe that this should change. The plastic industry needs to be further strengthened by switching to bioplastics that are 100% recyclable.

Bioplastics are made from renewable materials such as sugar cane, sugar beet, corn, starch and other sources. These plants extract CO2 from the air during growth and produce oxygen. Thus, they could provide a CO2 neutral process, which is not the case when using plastics made from a fossil material like oil.

Be-O is founded by Damir Perkic

The founder of Be-O, Damir Perkic, worked as a Business Development Manager at one of the largest plastic manufacturers in the world. It shocked him to see how the world put so much effort in reducing the CO2 emissions, while the plastic industry remained anxiously stuck with fossil materials for their plastics.

About 99% of the 311 million tons of plastic produced yearly is still made from oil. Through his search for alternatives, he has become an expert in bioplastics. After a while, he realized that he could only change the plastic industry by changing the demand from the consumer. In other words; by telling the honest story about plastic and offering well-designed reusable products made from bioplastics.
